Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that you have questions. Here are some answers.

1. Can we legally get married in Europe as foreigners?

Yes, but it depends on the country. Each has its own legal requirements, waiting periods, and documentation. Some couples choose a symbolic ceremony in Europe and complete the legal paperwork in their home country to simplify the process—we can guide you through both options.

2. What are the best destinations for weddings in Europe?

Popular choices include Germany (especially Southern Germany), Austria (like Salzburg and Tyrol), and Switzerland (Lakes Lucerne, Geneva, and the Alps). Castles, vineyards, lakesides, and mountain views are all possible—we help you find the one that matches your style and story.

3. When is the best time to have a wedding in Europe?

Spring (May–June) and early autumn (September) are ideal—mild weather, beautiful scenery, and fewer tourists. Summer can also be stunning, especially in the mountains, but some areas can get hot or crowded. If you like snow, the winter works too. So the answer is YEAR-ROUND - depending on your preferences.

4. Do we need to speak the local language?

Not at all. We handle all communication with vendors and local officials for you, and we’re bilingual. However, we’re happy to help you learn a few charming phrases for your ceremony or reception if you'd like!

5. How far in advance should we start planning?

Ideally, start 9–12 months in advance, especially if you're dreaming of a popular venue. But don’t worry—we’ve pulled off amazing weddings on shorter timelines, too.
